End the Year with a Classroom Campout!

Happy May, friends! I know the end of this school year is not what we were expecting, or at ALL what we were hoping for, but I have an idea of how you can bring a little bit of the end-of-the-year magic to your students…even if you have to do it remotely!

Host a Classroom Campout!

I have had an absolute BLAST building these pieces to share with you all for the end of the year! The entire idea was inspired by my ‘Plan a Camping Trip PBL’ (one of my favorites!)…I realized that one PBL activity could be used as the foundation of an entire end-of-year theme! Let me show you all of the pieces that you can use to create a fun camping-themed day for your students. You can purchase these individually, or as one big bundle!

Invitations, Games, and Crafts

Get your students ready for the theme of the campout with an adorable invitation (printable and digital offered!). The invitation gives them the details for the day, and invites them to build a fort and dress like a camper, making their distance learning experience extra fun!

Added goodies are a banner that your students can print and decorate at home to show off the name of their camps, a bug jar craft, and some fun camping-themed games to play with your students!

This is an academically rigorous, differentiated math project that challenges your students to review all of their math skills from the year to plan a fun camping weekend! It’s the perfect math project for summer in general, but especially if you’re going to pull in other camping-themed activities!

Obviously, if you’re going to have a camping-themed day to celebrate the end of the year, you need to have a fun, camping read aloud! This read aloud activity set offers graphic organizers for several reading skills, so you can practice any standard you choose!

Camping Themed Writing
