A CLASS CHRISTMAS PARTY DONE FOR YOU!
The month of December is so crazy, and if your students are anything like mine were, you’re busy keeping them on-task. My students were always so distracted, it was hard to get anything done. The silver lining here is that most of us get the last two weeks of the month off, so at least it doesn’t last for very long!
If you’re in the same boat, I want to help take one thing off of your plate this month. The day before your winter break is sure to be a pretty exciting day for your students. If you know me, you know my attitude has always been to just lean into the crazy, rather than trying to fight it! So, let me plan your Christmas Party to take one more thing off of your lengthy to-do list. Let’s take a peek inside my Classroom Christmas Party Pack.
HOW TO THROW A CLASS CHRISTMAS PARTY!
Step One: DECORATE!
One of my favorite steps is decorating my classroom. I truly think it helps students feel the Christmas spirit! I’ve included printable decor to help save you time & money. Another money-saving tip is to head to the Dollar Store for inexpensive extras to make your classroom feel party-ready.
Step Two: Set Up a Photobooth!
A great way to kick off your Christmas Party is to start with a fun photo booth! I’ve included quick print-and-go props that you can easily tape or glue onto popsicle sticks to make fun props. Add some butcher paper as a background and snap away. I’ve also included a digital photo booth for your students to drag & drop their own props.
Step THREE: Showcase Christmas Sweaters
My favorite way to showcase Christmas sweaters is to use red butcher paper and place it in the middle of the classroom floor. Set up a runway that students walk down! You’ll love watching your kiddos strut their stuff to show off their fun sweaters.
As an additional writing activity, you can have students create a slide with a picture of themselves in their funniest/ugliest sweaters. You can play these slides in a presentation at the end, as well!
Step FOUR: Play some Games!
What is a party without games? I have included 6 different whole-class games that are the perfect thing to project on your screen (or SMART Board) and let students play. These games are no-prep and are meant to take anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Your students will love playing games like Jibber Jabber, What’s that Sound, Name that Carol, and more!
What if I don’t have time to make games myself?
You’re in luck! I have pre-made slides and games prepped and ready to go in my Christmas Class Party Pack. There is enough content in this pack to create a really fun party for your students with minimal prep. My hope is that purchasing a pack like this takes a lot of stress off of your plate and allows you to have fun with your students before a much-needed Winter break!
