End of Year Plans Made Easy with Theme Days

The end of the year is here! How many days do you have left? Have you started the final countdown yet? If you are looking for an easy way to plan the last two weeks of your year, I have the easiest solution for you! Theme days!

What are theme days?

Theme days are sets of activities that are all linked by one common theme. My friend Stephanie and I developed a set of five theme days with summer themes for second-grade teachers. We have a day of lemonade activities, camping activities, beach activities, ice cream activities, and taco activities! The activities in each pack review second-grade skills from the entire year. You can pick and choose the ones that you think your students will find the most engaging, or use all of them to fill an entire day!

What skills are covered?

Across all five sets, we have a wide variety of second grade skills for your students to practice. Now that it’s the end of the year, these make a great spiral review!

Each theme day pack includes five literacy and five math activities. There are also some extra quick print activities and some group projects. The math and literacy activities review skills for writing, reading, adding in subtracting, telling time, grammar and language arts, and so much more!

How can theme days make my end of year planning easier?

Because each pack is full of activity options, Stephanie and I created a 10 day lesson plan that breaks apart which day is to use different activities. The crafts and activities included in the sets are hands-on, engaging, and fun. Your students won’t be doing just work sheets to full time at the end of the year. They will be deeply engaged in the standards all while celebrating the summer season!
