Students will love getting to work within a budget to select a class pet - the animal, animal homes, supplies and more. You'll love the enriched math practice they get along the way! Students will practice addition and subtraction while learning to work within a budget. They'll finish the project by writing a letter to the principal to persuade him or her to allow your class to have a pet! •Reflection Questions: Reflection pages are included. Students will answer questions about what it was like working with a budget and what they might do differently next time.

•Writing Toppers: B&W page toppers are included for all of the pets. Students can color and cut this to add to their letter to the principal. This makes a great display for students' work!
