This math PBL project will have your students practicing real-world math applications while having a BLAST! This project based learning task is a great extension and enrichment activity for your early finishers. It allows them to open their own restaurant! They must make several decisions about their new business, practicing several common core math standards along the way. Students will love getting to make pizzas for customers and write checks for their employees, and YOU will love the enriched math practice they get along the way.
This pack would be great for enriching second graders, perfect for third graders, and even a great review for upper grades! This is perfect for an end of the year cumulative or spiral math project!

⭐ HERE ARE THE TASKS STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE:
•Check, Please!: Students use addition/subtraction within 1,000 to calculate customers' bills.
•It's Payday!: Students use multiplication to calculate how much their employees' paychecks will be and then practice number forms by writing out their paychecks.
•Dessert Day: Students help kids in the restaurant count their money and make decisions about what they can and can't afford. Students practice counting, adding, and subtracting money.
•Timing is Everything: Students must read the time on the clocks and use elapsed time to answer restaurant related questions.
•Preparing Pizzas: Students use fractions to read customers' pizza orders and create the pizza.
•How's Business?: Students examine data about the popularity of dishes and create a bar graph using the data. Students answer questions and make business decisions based on the data and bar graph.
