Money Activities | Round-Up
Who’s looking for some fresh money activities this year?? It always surprises me how many students struggle with money. Really what it is, is you get a good idea of which students truly mastered skip-counting in 1st grade. Transitioning from counting by 10s to 5s to 1s all in one task just tangles some kiddo’s minds up! It’s important that we give our students plenty of hands-on practice during this unit!
Today, I’m sharing a round up of some of my favorite money activities! If you’re looking to add to your resource collection this year, I have a variety of differentiated, hands-on, engaging, and rigorous activities for your classroom. You can find each of these products in my TPT store.
Money Monsters
I love how cute all of these activities turned out, and I hear from teachers that they love them, too! Give your students all of that hands-on money practice this year with this Money Monster activity pack! There’s enough here to last you days upon days of fun, money-themed instruction!
Money Journal Prompts
I have these journal prompts for every math unit you can teach in 2nd grade. These journal prompts can be projected or printed and cut out for students to glue in math notebooks. They practice each of the Common Core Math Standards for the unit, ensuring that your students are writing about their thinking through every lesson you teach! Print and cut them out at the beginning of a new unit, and have them ready to go as a great warm-up at the beginning of each math block!
Money Choice Board
I also have choice boards for every 2nd grade domain! These choice boards make great early finisher activities, center work, or even could be sent home as homework during that teaching unit. The possibilities are endless, and the prep is super minimal!
I hope this list gave you some fresh ideas for how you can help your students master money this year! You can click the button below to see all of the resources I have in my store! Happy teaching, everyone!
