Halloween PBL Math Activities - Run a Haunted House
This Halloween math PBL project will have your students practicing real-world math applications while having a BLAST! These project based learning tasks are great extensions and enrichment activities for your early finishers. It allows them to design and run their own haunted house. They must make several decisions about the haunted house, practicing several common core math standards along the way.
This pack would be great for enriching second graders, perfect for third graders, and even a great review for upper grades! This is perfect for an end of the year cumulative or spiral math project!

⭐ HERE ARE THE TASKS STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE:
•Haunted House Decor: Students use addition/subtraction within 100 or 1,000 (differentiated) to select decorations and scare actors for their haunted house.
•Haunted House Map: Students plan out 10 themed rooms and use area and perimeter to lay out their haunted house.
•Creepy Concessions: Students will help customers count their money for creepy concessions, and help them make decisions about what they can/can't buy.
•Haunted Events: Students create a timeline of spooky and festive events for the weekend.
•Who's Spooked?!: Students record fractions of kids who are scared and kids who aren’t by each scare actor.
•Ticket Sales: Students graph and analyze their ticket sales from the first week and make business decisions based on the data.
